Biography

Dan Bartholomew is a highly skilled executive coach, team builder, and collaborative innovator. With his extensive experience in solving puzzles and creating opportunities, he is a true thought leader in the executive coaching industry. Dan has an exceptional track record of building successful leadership and teaming environments from scratch, leveraging his deep network to build teams, alliances, and partnerships that consistently deliver the very best value to his clients.

He has a broad range of experience across operations, technology, and strategy and is always ready to take on market and operational challenges to help his clients succeed. As an executive coach at Griffin Dunn in Tucson, Arizona, Dan oversees the leadership transformation practice, where he advises and coaches clients on their growth transitions.

His industry expertise is broad: he has worked with healthcare gaming companies, non-profit recycling organizations, digital medical device manufacturers, and many more, providing them with Executive Coaching, strategic vision and tactical plans in operations and growth.

Dan built his coaching expertise from decades of leading organizations himself. He understands the front-line challenges facing C-level and aspiring C-level leaders today. A sampling of Dan’s own leadership roles has included:

  • Dan has also served as CEO at Free Geek, a non-profit technology refurbisher in Portland, Oregon, where he turned the organization around, increasing its revenue by 300%, staff by 50%, and reducing turnover from 45% to 3% in just three years. He also diversified revenue sources and took the organization to the national stage through key partnerships, industry speaking engagements, and advocacy work for digital inclusion and right-to-repair legislation.

  •  As COO of Dynamic Healthcare Systems in Irvine, California, Dan turned the company's implementation practice from a net-loss business to a profit center, reducing project completion times from 18 to 3 months and creating a new revenue source: consulting services. He oversaw every aspect of the company, retaining and expanding existing customers while adding products and services to attract new ones.

  • Dan also has extensive experience in Big Four consulting firms including KPMG and PwC, where he built practices with nearly 50 partners and 500 consultants.

He has a BS in Quantitative Business Analysis from Pennsylvania State University and has taken courses in CEO Coaching, Whole Person Coaching, Six Sigma Black Belt, Corporate Storytelling, Executive Relationship Building, Helping Clients Succeed, Working Geniuses and Strategic Account Management.

He is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, and certified in the working geniuses methodology.

Dan is also an active member of his local community, and he is involved in organizations spanning the Business Improvement District, Neighborhood Councils and Neighborhood Watches, and local business associations.

Dan is married with four children and owns an adorable Chocolate Labradoodle. He is also passionate about the bees in his Apiary and whitewater rafting down secret rivers in the beautiful Southwest; he has founded an orphanage and school for street children in Nakuru, Kenya.
