Biography
Shermain Melton is a powerful, raw, and courageous truth-teller. A coach, consultant, teacher, and trusted advisor for over two decades. A Black, Christian gay man whose story is one of determination, authenticity, and growth. He hid a part of his identity for over 24 years because he feared being abandoned by the people he loved, alone, and having negative career consequences. He faced discrimination and poverty yet found the courage to create a new destiny, including financial freedom. An Author, International Speaker, and Leadership Coach.
Shermain's clients include BIPOC Executives, Business Owners, and Professionals who want to find the courage to be their authentic selves, increase their visibility and grow their confidence. Shermain's clients see confidence and trust gains, productivity and sales increases, and self-love, balance, and financial wins. While most of Shermain's clients don't need a coach, they realize that new thinking, consistent courage, and fresh resources are required to achieve the next level.
An IT nerd and business expert by training, Shermain has a background in Information Systems and Business Leadership. Shermain holds a Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) issued by the International Coaching Federation. He earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems and an MBA specializing in small business and entrepreneurship. He is a Certified Professional Coach through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC), a certified MTBI Practitioner through The Myers-Briggs Company, and a Certified Professional Leader through PeopleTek Coaching. Born in Orlando, he lives in the Phoenix desert and enjoys time spent with family and loved ones.
